Error SAP System has status 'not modifiable'

RFC CallReceive error Function /BODS/ RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN: RFC_ABAP_MESSAGE

Hello SAP Experts,

I am not able to recover the table metadata - Table does not exist: RFC CallReceive error SAP System has status 'not modifiable')- SAP System has status 'not modifiable'[SAP NWRFC 721][SAP Partner 731 ]>.

The issue can be re-generated by following steps below:

First, point the SAP Business Suite Applications datastore towards a closed SAP system which does not allow any changes.

Now set the data store property 'ABAP execution option' to 'Generate_and_execute'

At last, try to import a table from the data store

The issue is caused because Generate_and_execute mode uses /BODS/RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN function, in order to import tables whereas the most Productive SAP systems, does not allow this and it is only recommended for sandbox or Development environments
Therefore, please change the datastore from 'generate_and_execute' to 'execute_preloaded' in order to resolve the above issue.

Please point to the data store to a SAP system which is not closed in order to resolve the above issue.
